Too darn hot!

It had to be the hottest day of the year when we performed in a joint concert with Marazion Apollo MVC. Both choirs, as well as the audience, were positively glowing with the heat, the blinding sunshine through the stained glass windows of Falmouth Methodist Church, and the effort to sing in such conditions. But the professionalism of everyone prevailed! The gentlemen of Marazion Apollo were in fine voice, the compère, Adrian Wilton, kept us all on our toes with colloquial wise-cracks, Becky McGlade played her ‘cello like a dream, the audience was generous with their applause and their money and the Ladies sang beautifully. After the success of England in the football that afternoon spirits were as high as the temperatures and everyone left knowing that a good time was had by all and a large sum was raised to support the work of The Cove Macmillan. Thank you to all who gave of their time and talents.
