Pingback: Welcome back! | STITHIANS LADIES CHOIR
Just seeing this site has made my day.
We just received word of the passing of my dear friend (and distant relative) Ron Pascoe. His wife, Pat, inspired me to check in. It won’t sound right to most Stithians natives but the Pringles
somehow wandered down to Cornwall ~1600 and stayed 300 years. My Great Grandfather Henry Pringle married Jane Pascoe in the Stithians Church in the 1870s and gave birth to my blessed Grandpa, Benjamin Pascoe Pringle in ~1880. He came to America in 1907. I have been to Stithians many many wonderful times and felt at home immediately. Love to Peggy Pascoe (just saw your beautiful picture) and my most sincere condolences to Pat Pascoe, the boys, their family and all things Pascoe.
Lew Pringle
PS As a 75 year old American, I still make superb pasties but Ron told me my saffron cake was quite awful. And he was, as in all matters, quite right.
Thank you so much for visiting our site Lew and for leaving your most interesting comment. I will take this and read it to the Ladies when we rehearse on Thursday. Well done on the pasty making ( we are singing a song about them at our concert this Friday! )
