Another Big Cheque!

Chairman Peggy and Treasurer Connie present a Big Cheque to Mike and Adrian of the M.S. Society South West

At their recent concert at Carnon Downs Chapel Stithians Ladies raised a very useful sum of money which was divided between the chapel regeneration fund and the M.S. Society South West. The cheque was gratefully received and Mike May explained what a difference it would make to the local branch of the Society and its members.

The Choir would like to thank Imerys Mid Cornwall Male Voice Choir for contributing their time and talents towards this magnificent dual fund raising effort. We look forward to the next time we can join together in harmony.

More successful fund raising

Stithians Ladies recently shared a lovely evening if music with Imerys Mid Cornwall Male Choir and raised a sizeable amount for the MS Society and the Carnon Downs Methodist Chapel refurbishment fund.Pictured are choir member Ursula, who is a steward at Carnon Downs Chapel, receiving the cheque from President / treasurer Connie. They are surrounded by representatives of the choir gathering for their Thursday practice night in Stithians Band Room. It’s  wonderful thing when you can do what you enjoy most and, together with the support of loyal friends, musicians and audiences, raise funds which make a considerable difference to others. We love it!

Another resounding success

JOINT CONCERT WITH IMERYS MID-CORNWALL MVC

Our concert at Carnon Downs Methodist Chapel on May 18th was fabulous in every respect. Our friends from Imerys Mid Cornwall MVC joined us on a splendidly sunny evening and shared a feast of music and a feast of yummy food. The end result was an excellent sum raised for MS Society and the chapel refurbishment fund, two very satisfied choirs, a happy and appreciative audience and lots of full tummies!

The Ladies, as well as sparkling in the music department also sparked in the fashion department by wearing their brand new summer uniform.

The two choirs joined together to sing Morte Christe for the finale of the concert.

The Ladies love performing in this splendid chapel and are delighted to have helped with their refurbishment fund as well as enhancing the work of the South Cornwall branch of the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
