Beautiful Budock 💜

Last night the Ladies were privileged to share another of their concerts with those delightful young people The Beatroots. We all gathered in the gorgeous setting of St Budock Church on a calm summer evening among the full-blown roses with early evening glimpses over Falmouth Bay. Perfection.

A capacity audience enjoyed a wonderfully varied programme, skilfully held together by compère Aubin de Gruchy. As well as music from the Ladies and The Beatroots they were treated to a beautiful piano solo from accompanist Rico Gerber and a unique, unrehearsed rendition of Together from all the assembled singers!

During the evening representatives from The Mermaid Centre and Muheza Mothers, Tanzania told us about the wonderful work that they do in their respective organisations and how our donations would make a huge difference to a host of deserving people. The ticket money and  the collection  came to a substantial amount and Stithians Ladies Choir has donated £700 to these worthy causes.

The evening was superbly rounded off with scrummy refreshments provided by the generous people of the Church and we all went home thoroughly refreshed in body and soul. Thank you to all those who made this event in Beautiful Budock so successful and memorable in every way.
